We are extremely proud to report that our past Madam President Gladys Maharam, has been honored by Pin’s School of Information Sciences. Gladys received the school’s 2007 Professional Achievement Award to honor and recognize her outstanding support and service to the University, the School and the field of library and information sciences. Gladys was honored at a reception held during Homecoming Weekend on Friday, October 19th.

It’s a truly unique raffle. 1000 tix to be sold at $100 each with the winner decided by the PA Daily Number (evening number) of Dec. 1st. The winner takes all of the following: 4 club Steeler regular season game seats for 2008-09, transportation within 25 miles to Heinz Field, $200 gift certificate for dinner after each of the 8 games, and $100 spending cash at each game. The 2007 Pitt Football Pool has begun! The Pitt Football Pool is one of two fund raisers we conduct each year. Covering all blocks (100 of them) is a MUST! We ask that each member take responsibility for at least 4 blocks. The board will be available at every meeting from now on until the end of the football season.

We met the evening of June 28 to welcome our latest president Carole Ladik who accepted the presidency of Oakland Rotary for the second time.
